Our sustainability vision is to develop human centric real estate with a net positive environmental impact. Guided by our vision we have set an ambitious strategy and sustainability programme including detailed long and short- term annual targets for the period 2023– 2026. In our strategy, we have identified the environmental, social and governance focus areas which are most relevant to us and through which we can create the biggest impact.

Promoting Sustainability Across Our Residential Properties

We are actively working to enhance sustainability in our residential properties. Examples of initiatives we have implemented include:

  • Renewable energy: Procurement of renewable electricity for common areas, use of geothermal or bio-based district heating, and encouraging tenants to choose renewable electricity.
  • Locally produced renewable energy: Installation of solar panels and geothermal heat pumps.
  • Water Conservation: Installation of water-saving fixtures.
  • Shared spaces and green areas: Creation of social and green areas such as gardens, playgrounds, and other communal spaces.
  • Low-emission Transportation: Providing bicycle racks and, in some properties, electric vehicle charging stations to support more sustainable transportation.
  • Certifications: Certification of properties according to sustainability standards such as BREEAM, LEED or DGNB.

Sustainability Tips for Tenants

In addition, you as a tenant, can actively contribute by adopting sustainable practices. Here are some practical tips that you can do to promote sustainability:

Turn Off Unused Devices

Remember to switch off lamps, TVs, and other devices when not in use.

Shorten Showers

Slightly reduce your shower time to save water.

Recycle

Remember to recycle as much of your waste generated as possible.

Use Public Transport or Cycle

Reduce your carbon footprint by using public transportation, cycling, or walking instead of driving.
