New Leona gyms bring training closer to home

This spring, three Leona properties were completed with new gyms intended for residents’ use. The high-quality Leona gyms are free of charge for residents and bring training facilities, in the best case, just an elevator ride away from home.

Making better use of residential building spaces

The development of the gyms started from a simple idea: how could we make better use of property spaces while also creating genuine added value for living? In some properties, there were underutilised spaces such as bicycle storage rooms, lobby areas or club rooms. We decided to repurpose these spaces and give them a more meaningful role in residents’ everyday lives. The goal was to create functional and pleasant spaces that make daily life smoother while also supporting wellbeing.

High-quality facilities for training

The result is a set of well-designed and versatile gyms where residents can train effectively without a separate gym membership or long travel times. The gyms are equipped with durable, high-quality equipment selected from trusted manufacturers, enabling a wide range of workouts even in more compact spaces. In addition, functionality and visual design come together in a way that makes them easily recognisable as Leona gyms. The brand’s colours and visual identity are used in a fresh and modern way, bringing a touch of Leona-home atmosphere to training.

Excellent reception from residents

Residents have welcomed the new gyms with great enthusiasm, and the facilities have quickly become actively and regularly used. The gyms have received extensive positive feedback, and according to residents’ comments, they have even made it possible for some to give up external gym memberships, as similar facilities are now available in their own residential building. At the same time, they have brought greater convenience into everyday life and strengthened the sense of community within the buildings.

Ongoing development

Gyms are already available in several Leona properties, and development work continues actively. The next Leona gym is already under construction in Espoo. We continue to develop and optimise spaces within Leona buildings, with the aim of transforming property spaces to better support residents’ everyday lives in the future as well.
