It’s time to vote for the Most Authentic Leona Home!

Last autumn, we launched the Most Authentic Leona Home series, inviting us into the beautiful homes of Leona residents and the stories behind them. We wanted to see what homes truly look like when they reflect the everyday lives of the people living in them and when personality shines through in the interior design, atmosphere, and small details.
Now it’s time to choose the Most Authentic Leona Home
Over the past year, we visited five very different Leona homes. Along the way, we discovered colourful interiors, calming palettes, second-hand treasures, travel souvenirs, unique design choices, and plenty of personality. Let’s take a closer look at these inspiring homes!
You can also find video tours of all the homes on Leona’s Instagram account, @leonakodit.fi, where you can explore each home in even more detail..
1. Ella – Aurinkolahti
Ella found her current home after winning Leona’s €10,000 rent giveaway. Located in Aurinkolahti, her home is a colourful one-bedroom apartment with a strong connection to nature and a clear love for sustainability and unique finds.
Many of the items in the apartment have been sourced from flea markets or received from family and friends. One example is the striped chair on the balcony, whose frame and cushions happened to be found from two different sellers on Tori.fi at the same time. The Artek chairs in the kitchen come from an old school where Ella’s mother once worked as a teacher. The living room rug was handwoven by Ella’s great-aunt and is more than 100 years old.
The home radiates warmth through objects that each carry a story of their own. A spacious balcony adds extra living space, especially during the summer months, while the sea and forests of Aurinkolahti encourage Ella to head outdoors almost every morning.

2. Johanna F – Aurinkolahti
Johanna’s bright and spacious one-bedroom apartment is built around travel memories and carefully selected details. Among her favourite features are her plants and a chest made by her grandfather, which brings a unique sense of warmth and character to the home.
As an avid traveller, Johanna’s home tells the story of experiences collected over the years, with keepsakes from some of her favourite destinations, including Mexico, Scotland, and Barcelona. The large balcony is the crowning feature of the apartment and a place where she enjoys spending her evenings well into autumn.
Aurinkolahti was a deliberate choice for Johanna. As someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, she was particularly drawn to the area’s close proximity to the sea.

3. Eva – Espoonlahti
Eva’s striking two-bedroom apartment in Espoonlahti combines high ceilings, vibrant colours, and practical living. She fell in love with the apartment at first sight, and it shows. The home has been decorated in a colourful and highly personal style, inspired by the joy and creativity of a child’s room.
The apartment features a loft for quiet moments, a large terrace for summer gatherings, a private sauna, and a separate home office. One of Eva’s favourite things about the home is having dedicated space for her hobbies. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, doing puzzles, and creating ceramic crafts from clay.
Snow, Eva’s adorable dog, has also claimed a favourite spot in the apartment: the corner of the walk-in closet.

4. Johanna S – Aurinkolahti
Johanna’s home is defined by soft pink and neutral tones. The apartment reflects a number of intentional lifestyle choices made to support her daily routine. She has completely replaced the traditional sofa and television setup with a yoga mat and carefully selected decorative pieces that better suit her way of living.
A beautifully arranged “altar table” brings together objects that hold special meaning to her. Johanna takes walks by the sea, located just a short distance from her home, several times a week and is already looking forward to practising yoga on her balcony during sunny summer mornings.

5. Suvi – Katajanokka
Suvi’s colourful one-bedroom apartment is located in Katajanokka, just steps away from both the sea and the city centre. The home has been decorated in a highly personal style, combining design pieces, bold colours, and second-hand treasures.
Her everyday life revolves around scenic waterfront walks, daily outings with her dog Muusa, and the cosy atmosphere of her home. The apartment’s natural light and private balcony are among Suvi’s favourite features, along with access to the property’s excellent sauna facilities and gym.
For Suvi, home is both a place to unwind and a creative environment where she enjoys spending time alone as well as hosting friends.
