What if your rental home came with new friends too?

Leona Club brings together friends and residents of Leona. The idea is simple: we organise fun activities together and give new friendships a chance to grow. At the same time, we want to show that a landlord can offer more than just four walls.

Doing things together makes getting to know each other easier

Getting to know new people isn’t always easy, especially as an adult. That’s why at Leona Club there’s no need to force conversation. Instead, people get to know each other naturally while doing something together.

At Leona Club evenings, we’ve already baked pizza, made Christmas wreaths and decorated pussy willows for Easter. Next up is a nostalgic record panel! 🎶 Each evening has its own theme, but one thing stays the same: doing things together in good company. Best of all, participants can also influence the programme of future evenings, and ideas and wishes are always welcome!

It’s easy to join Leona Club even if you don’t know anyone beforehand. Shared activities break the ice, and in a relaxed atmosphere conversations start naturally.

One participant summed up the best parts of the evening in their feedback:

“A welcoming atmosphere, and cooking together was an easy way to start conversations.”

When the first time isn’t the last

How do you know people enjoyed an event? For one, when the same faces start showing up again! Some Leona Club participants have enjoyed the evenings so much that they’ve already come back several times.

Leona’s commitment to residents’ wellbeing has also been warmly received. One participant shared on Instagram how happy they were that their landlord organises shared activities and offers something more than just an apartment.

Perhaps this is the real charm of Leona Club: you can come without knowing anyone and leave with a few new acquaintances. And next time, you might already be greeted by familiar faces.

Next up: a nostalgic record panel!

Who remembers the record panels at primary school, where everyone got to play their favourite song and the others gave it points? Now we’re bringing this nostalgic classic back to life!

At the next Leona Club on Thursday 12 November, we’ll gather around music, memories and good stories. The theme of the evening is “A song that feels like home”, and every participant can share a song connected to an important memory, person or place.

The evening will be hosted by Tapio Viinikangas, a musician, cultural influencer and host known for his personal cultural content. In 2025, Tapio won Yle’s competition reality show Sointu Borg & Tyrkyt. With a background in classical music, Tapio brings interesting stories, musical expertise and just the right amount of humour to the evening.

During the evening, we’ll listen to songs chosen by the participants, share stories and, of course, vote for the evening’s favourite. Expect relaxed company, new acquaintances and a touch of nostalgia!
